Ok, We're going to give this a try!

Hello friends and family. We are soon to leave on a mission to New Zealand and decided we should try a blog for all to see our adventures. Let's see if we can handle this!

We have been doing lots of things to prepare for our departure. Immunizations, work on the house and pruning trees, shopping for luggage, suits, etc.

And visiting with kids and grands we won't see for a long while!

Jess, Jeff and Co. drove from Tacoma area to visit us for a week.

We have been corresponding with Brother and Sister Ashby, who we will be replacing. We are excited to hear we will be serving north of Auckland in the countryside. We will live in Wellsford where there is a branch and we will also travel 1 1/2 hrs north to Dargaville to help in a branch there.
They sent a photo of the home we will live in and it is rolling green hills all in the background! We are very excited!

We report to the MTC on April 1st- one week to go!

We are so grateful for this opportunity to serve the Lord and the people of New Zealand. We are very grateful for our children who will help and watch over things while we are away!
