Our Savior, the Good Shepherd!

In his general conference address “He Will Place You on His Shoulders and Carry You Home,” President Dieter F. Uchtdorf assures us: “Our Savior, the Good Shepherd, knows and loves us. He knows and loves you. He knows when you are lost, and He knows where you are. He knows your grief. Your silent pleadings. Your fears. Your tears. It matters not how you became lost—whether because of your own poor choices or because of circumstances beyond your control. What matters is that you are His child. And He loves you. He loves His children.”
If you will only lift up your heart to the Savior of the world, He will find you,” President Uchtdorf promises. “He will rescue you. He will lift you up and place you on His shoulders. He will carry you home.”Christ’s love and forgiveness are constant and everlasting. He wants us to return home to the fold, safe and sound. Although we all go through times of doubt, we should never doubt Christ’s love for us, no matter the choices we have made. We are all worthy of rescue. With Christ as our guide, we can all return home to our loving Father in Heaven.

The Senior Missionaries enjoyed a night out at the "Bushmans Grill" in Takapuna for our monthly FHE get together. Lisa and I shared a rack of ribs and the biggest baked potato we had ever seen!
The majority of the Senior Missionaries work near Auckland doing misc. duties: Self Reliance, Record Preservation, Seminary and Institute, Education Specialists, Mission Nurse, Housing Coordinator, Fleet Management, Office, Mission Secretary, and Bike Specialist. Lisa and I are Member and Leadership Support Missionaries along with the Crossleys who serve in Kerikeri.

The missionaries of the Northland Zone gathered for a zone conference in Whangarei where  President Walker taught about the Book of Mormon and the importance of it being another Testament of Jesus Christ.

I recruited the Wellsford Elders and their District Leader and his companion to assist me in doing a whirlwind "spring" clean up of Sister Pratt,s yard. We mowed, chopped down wild privet, pulled weeds and pruned multiple trees. It was so  nice to have some help! The Elders from Takapuna had never been up to this area, and practically begged to come back up to do more service!

I don't recall the last time I walked out of Church and was given a fish to take home!?!
Ashton Dunn had several chilly bins (ice chests) full of fish to share with the members after church on Sunday. Elder Evans and Elder Tenney approached me with the fish that they had been given, along with a puzzled look on their faces... and asked me what they were supposed to do with it !? I offered to take their fish along with mine home to fillet and cook. We invited the Elders over for dinner and had a splendid Hapuku (Groper) fish feast!

Gloria Pratt and Lisa knitting while watching President Nelsons 95th birthday celebration for our FHE together.

We stopped by the Matakana Farmers market for Lisa to pick up some honey. Near the entrance there were two boys tending dogs...while their owners wandered through the market.

On the way home from the farmers market  we stopped at Goat Island marine reserve.,

we saw an eel in a stream....

a carving on a dead tree

and the mailman delivering our mail on his motorcycle!
